the Initial Diagnosis, I Experienced Denial! But
I Was Able to Get a Handle! Instead
of Getting Hysterical! That’s
When I Made the Decision Not to Be in Fear! I
Chose Not To Feel Like a Victim! I
Surrounded the Situation With Lots of Humor! Instead
of Letting Worry Take Over! Imagine

Right Side May Have Been Jealous! Or
My Cells Just Over Zealous! But
I Stayed Tuned To What They Would Tell Us! Once
Confirmed That It Was Back 5’ish Years Later On The Other Side! Into
Fear & Depression I Did Not Slide! I
Chose Mastectomy, So Hospital Food I was Fed! Oh!
I Got The Report Back, And They’re Sure It Didn’t Spread! They
Caught It Early Due To A Periodic Mammogram! And
They Were Able To Go In And Take It 1-2-3 Bam! Modern
Medical Science is Like Magic-Abra Kadabra Shazam! I Used My Spiritual Maintenance Plan to Go From OY to AH,- And
Stay Sane! They’re
Reconstructing From The Muscle In My Back! Then
Eventually An Implant I Will Pack! The
Underlying Issues Were About A Residue Of Unworthiness and Lack! All
Of The Above Were Cut Out With A Knife! I
Now Look Forward To Love, Prosperity And A Beautiful Life! And
Blessings of Inner/Outer Peace-Sans Such Strife! ©

frequent bars! Often we walk to
the Barnes & Noble! There I schmoozed
with Spike and Mrs. Lee! On the town I posed

Poetry Helps Me to Turn the Ordinary into the
Extraordinary I have always
admired people who write poetry and I didn’t think I had that ability.
All of a sudden on May 2, 2000, I spontaneously wrote my first poem and I
have been writing poetry ever since. I found out the following week that
May is National Poetry Month. I must have caught the vibe! Some of my
poems have since been published & recorded by The International Library of
Poetry,
published in the newsletters of other inspirational
organizations, and are included in my own book, "Tools for Going from OY!
to AH!" To

here Starting a poem
takes me from sadness (OY!)
to gladness (AH!)
After I complete a poem it sends me into such a zooming high. Every
time I recite my poems for others, or myself I activate the natural high
once again, (& hopefully the recipient as well)! Poetry is a natural
antidepressant mood enhancer for me! The word poem has the sound “OM”
in it! Supposedly, “OM” is the sound of GOD creating & the most
powerful sound there is.
I
highly recommend trying to write some limericks or poetry. It can be a
natural antidepressant/mood enhancer for you too, bringing about new
levels of joy! Deb

Who*s leaving the end of the semester-Fall!
Boy he*s sure happy, cause soon he won*t have to answer another call!
Without
the fellow who is always *sleepy, sleepy*!
This place sure will seem a little creepy!
And at least for a while we*ll be weepy!
Though
he*s just going to GSU, and not yet returning to the Ivory Coast!
To the humble man who*d never boast!
We make this poetic toast!
We
want to clearly state to Mr. Yao!
We think that he is really *WOW!*
We*ll never forget him-he has that promise forever, beginning now!

sure hope that he will keep in touch!
